    John Baer

    John is the Founder of Lititz Watch & Jewelry. He began this business in the basement of his home almost two decades ago, and has provided a retail store for the past 15 years. The rapid growth of his business, was due to the fact that high quality watch and clock repair service was unavailable in this area. John felt a need to continue his offerings to the public with a larger retail space. Due to the quality of his watch and clock repairs, he eventually added jewelry to his list of offerings to the public. He is a Watchmaker, Clockmaker and Mechanical Engineer earning his degree from Penn State University.. John began his career in watch & clock repair after many years in corporate america, John’s favorite timepiece to service is Vintage Bulova Accutron watches. From vintage to new, John is your expert. John also designs and manufactures equipment for watchmakers under the Lititz Precision Products label.


    Bill Coldren

    Bill came to Lititz Watch & Jewelry with just under three decades of Jewelry Industry experience. Bill’s experience is broad with technical knowledge to help you make your jewelry decisions from an educated viewpoint. Bill was formerly the Jewels & Finery Manager for the family owned department store Doneckers. He came to LW&J from his position at VanScoy Maurer & Bash Diamond Jewelers. He enjoys all facets of jewelry and accsories. He enjoys making women feel beautiful with jewelry. Bill resided in Seattle Washington from 1995 to 2005, working for two luxury Jewelers in the Fremont and Capitol Hill Neighborhoods. He managed both Fremont Jewelry Design, and Michael W. Farrell Jewelers, respectively. In 2004, Bill received a Hero award from the city of Seattle Washington for playing a major part in solving the largest jewelry crime theft in the history of Seattle. His efforts as a citizen solved the case for a 1 million dollar plus jewelry heist. Bill dedicates himself to his customers and appreciates his long term relationships.


    Ed Hemperly

    Ed came to Lititz Watch & Jewelry from an industrial maintenance and robotics background. Throughout his whole life, Ed has been interested in mechanical devices, he enjoyed working on just about everything. His time in the military, working on heavy technical equipment on tank turrets, missile launchers and computer platforms set him up for a career where attention to details is necessary. Ed continues his Horological education with hands on training and seminars. His time as a child was occupied repairing small equipment, he was born with the gift to understand mechanical equipment. Ed performs in house clock and watch repairs as well as service calls in private homes. Ed became managing partner at LW&J in 2011. Ed has been trained to work on both clocks and watches utilizing the latest technics and tools. Ed is very knowledgeable and can get your timepieces back into working condition whether it is a simple service, full overhaul or a complete clock/case restoration.
